Brand new house, only 3 rooms so very personalized. Staff were fantastic and very helpful, rooms were very big and facilities were lovely.

De Opstal’s old charm accommodations are surrounded by magnificent flower gardens, fruit trees, and fields that are not over-manicured, rather reflective of the owners’ true love of nature and deep desire to create an environment for their guests that engages all their senses. The only downside was having to leave this slice of paradise.

Small boutique hotel in a small town in the Little Karoo. Fabulous food. Ostrich steaks. Selection of local wines and artisinal beers. Classic Movie nights. Showers and baths with lots of hot water. Good cooked breakfast. The decor is original from the time when the hotel was opened in 1950's. There are many art works by local artists. Location. Grillimisvõimaluse ja aiaga Swartberg Pass Cottages asub Matjiesrivieris, 500 meetri kaugusel Swartbergi mäekurust. Cango koopad on 13 km kaugusel. Kõikides tubades on kohvimasin. Absolutely everything was perfect. A little gem! We ordered a braaipack in advance. It contained so much more than expected. In addition to the meat, there was roosterkoek, jam, salad, pumpkin fritters and more. The rooms and beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had every utensil we needed and fresh drinkwater was supplied. The Swartberg Mountains around us were breathtaking. We loved our stay. It was booked for a stay-over location close to the Cango Caves but we will be back for a longer stay at some stage to explore the area further.
