The Basalt Hotel staff crew has been exceptional in communication. We had a last minute flight cancellation which would result in a 3am hotel check-in. The Basalt crew handled our situation really well. Our room was exceptionally huge for its size. We loved the view of our room and we even had daily housekeeping. The outdoor hot tub was something we enjoyed using, especially after a long day out. Hotel breakfast was ok, good to have.

It was great to have these on site. The food was excellent. We were very pleased we were given our room 1 hour early since we flew in that morning from Denver and had missed the night.

Set in Iceland’s Westfjords district, this hotel offers an in-house restaurant and basic rooms with free Wi-Fi access. Brjánslækur ferry terminal is a 5-minute drive away. Nice and comfortable room. The staff was very pleasant and professional. Access to the hotpot any time (bathrobes given by the hotel). The restaurant and breakfast were excellent! Practical facilities (petrol station, pump station for tyres, wash station).

Offering natural hot springs, free Wi-Fi and an in-house restaurant, this farmhouse hotel is in Iceland’s wild Westfjords. Súdavík village is within a 1-hour drive. We were greeted by friendly staff who accommodated dietary restrictions and took our dinner order over the phone ahead of our arrival. Delicious dinner and breakfast, a very lively dining hall. The geothermal baths were amazing. The natural one was beautiful in the middle of nature, and the greenhouse bath felt like a jungle oasis. Many activities to do in the area, from kayaking to hiking and horseback riding. Overall we had a great experience and would love to have stayed longer.

Luxury beds and power showers are offered at Hótel Egilsen. Baldur Ferry Terminal and boats to the West Fjords and Flatey island are 300 metres away. Wi-Fi is free. Perfect experience! The cute traditional-yet newly renovated and very comfortable hotel is located in the beautiful old port. People working there were super nice and provided us with great recommendations. Nice breakfast :)

Set on Flatey Island in the Breidafjördur Bay, this hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Baldur Ferry Terminal that departs from Stykkishólmur. It was a great place to stay on the quiet island.

The hotel is brand new and beautifully decorated. It is located in a central area with low tourism activity, which is suitable for an extended stay. We stayed a week. We wanted solitude with access to hikes, mountains, highlands, waterfalls and glaciers, and we got it. The breakfast was also delicious. The staff is very kind and accommodating. (We love your hospitality, Judith! And it was a pleasure to briefly meet the owner too!)
