The charming Slovenian capital, Ljubljana is the only large city in the country. Dominated by the Castle Hill with Medieval Ljubljana Castle on top, the city is a picturesque Balkan mix of architectural styles, romantic bridges and scenic views.
Due to two major earthquakes in 1511 and 1895, which destroyed many buildings, the Old Town features a range of styles: from Roman period, through Medieval Baroque to Vienna Secession. Two days is all you need to see the city.
Two days is all you need to see the city. We spent fifteen nights in Slovenia and just saw the best bits, we could have spent longer. Ljubljana doesn't have as much to offer as other European city's, Rome, Paris or Krakow all have more but it's pleasant enough. Visit the Tivoli Park and watch the red squirrels. Take an apple and they will come and sit on the park bench and enjoy it with you, they are so tame.

It might be out far away but there's a bus stop just across the road, bus 3 goes directly to the city centre. Ample parking is available in front of the hotel and it's secured by a gate. Close by is a gigantic shopping centre. Really spacious rooms, fantastic beds and bathroom. There was a tiny, handy kitchen and a nice table which makes this place ideal for work. An extra bonus is that they could provide us with a room, actually an appartment with two rooms were the entire family could fit, which is not easy to find. Overall we were very satisfied.

The location just outside of old town was perfect, on site covered parking was a bonus. We happened to be there on a Friday night so we were able to enjoy Open Kitchen which was quite the scene. Our favorite dinner was at Pri Skofu. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. Slovenia is a beautiful country-wish we had spent one of these nights in the Logar Valley 4 nights in Ljubljana was a lot.
