Clean and spacious room and I believe good soundproof as the next door guest was asking if their kids were noisy but frankly speaking couldn’t hear a thing.

I'm not entirely sure where to start...
Our experience at Hana Lodge was absolutely incredible, from the fabulous staff and personalised customer service they offer to our gorgeous room and facilities available to us.
The cleanliness was impeccable throughout and the in house dining experience was divine.

A Volcanic Land of Wonders
Rotorua is living proof of the magnificent, and sometimes mind-boggling, might of nature. Smoking hot springs, bubbling mud pools and fast-spouting geysers give the surrounding landscape an almost other-worldly feel.
This New Zealand city sits in the Waimangu Volcanic Valley, the world’s newest geothermal hotspot. It was created after the 1886 eruption that covered Te Wairoa Buried Village, between 2 of many lakes gracing this fertile terrain. By Lake Rotorua’s shores is the luxurious Polynesian Spa with its thermal pools. Just behind in Government Gardens are the city’s best cultural offerings: the Arts Village, Tamaki Maori Village and Rotorua Museum, in an elegant former bath house.
Native animals roam in Rainbow Springs Kiwi Wildlife Park below Mount Ngongotaha, accessible via the Skyline cable car. The views while ascending make it obvious why this is called the Bay of Plenty. Tikitere Thermal Park on the opposite side of the lake is known as Hell’s Gate, but as long as you can ignore the sulphuric smell, the spas are simply heavenly.
More springs are in Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, whose surrounding forest is popular for mountain biking, and Wai-O-Tapu where the Champagne Pool is a striking mix of green and orange.
Booking.com’s accommodation range is as diverse as the scenery, encompassing luxury hotels, cheap hostels and motels near Rotorua Airport.
This house is large and has everything needed but furniture...
This house is large and has everything needed but furniture and bedding are old. House could be cleaned a bit better as the room I stayed in had cobwebs in the corners. The furniture is old and stained from use. The sheets on my bed were stained and the bedding was old. All bedding was clean. This house is on the edge of Rotorua and takes about 7 minutes to drive to the CBD. It rates quite a bit above where it should but houses of this size are not that common. We only used two of the four bedrooms. Kitchen was well equipped, but we did not do any cooking. Both bathrooms were fully functional. Outside under the carport there are drying lines for clothing. There were towels and blankets hanging on the clotheslines the entire two days we stayed here.

2 or 3 day stay is enough to see the most interesting sights. One of the hot pools is definitely worth a visit, probably Polynesian as they are the staple (or Wai Ariki but that's more expensive). We also loved the gondola and a buffet dinner on top of the hill in the Stratosphere restaurant. One of the maori villages is also a must, we did Whakarewarewa which was informative and the cultural dance was great to see. Waimangu valley is great.

This beautiful town has a wealth of things to do, sights to see and the people are friendly and engaging.
Lots of things to interest most if not everyone.
Ranging from adventure activities, to beautiful sights, thermal pools and spas to relax in and cultural/historical enrichment around every corner. A real treat

So much to do!
So much to do! It's become the Queenstown of the north island - lots of adventure activities. We did spend a fair bit of money, but we also had a great time, they just need some more good quality restaurants, and better coffee in the township - the best we found was out in the suburbs.
I loved our time there, especially the mountain biking - so fun. People were all friendly and helpful too. Def a gret place to visit, esp if you have tweens / bigger kids.

Rotorua was a great place to visit.
Rotorua was a great place to visit. Mitai Village, Hot beach, waimangu volcano were all interesting places to visit. If you like to hike, the 9 mile hike to hot beach and the hiking trails in the Mokaihaha Ecological area are both great hikes .
Just don't stay at AWA hotel.

As we were only doing a two day stop over to catch up with family and friends, on our way to a wedding, it was just enough to get us time to do these visits and still have time for ourselves. As were not "exploring Rotorua" we did not need extra time. Would recommend at least 4 - 5 days if you are new to the place and want to do all those sights, that Rotorua has to offer.
We booked with family to stay at golden motel with the photo on website looks better but when we arrive it was so bad our room was given upstairs my wife is 7months pregnant bath tab was wit a note saying can not be used
We told staffs on site we cant stay in hiya this is not what the photo was showing
We booked another hotel thru booking com
We did complain on phone to booking com staffs
We were charged full amount for not staying the the motel which was zero in standard
We really enjoyed this accommodation & loved the story behind the family that turned a run down hotel into what you see today (due to retrenchment) all the while nursing a child with an illness. You can read about them in a book located in the apartment. We were warmly welcomed & delighted with the amenities. Excellent location, only 15-25 minutes from all major tourist attractions with free car parking. Highly recommend.
Travelled with 3 adults & 3 teenage children.
Really comfy, clean and good sized room (had a small couch which I wasn't expecting). Friendly, accommodating staff. Really liked the spa area. Great setting right on the lake. Excellent value for money especially during the school holidays. A very quiet, relaxing base to explore Rotorua. It's a little tired in areas around the hotel but I think this is reflective of the price and also how difficult the past few years have been for hotels in touristy areas.
The room was very clean and had 2 queen beds, a kitchenette and a good bath/shower combo. The hotel has good parking and is close to lots of the key activities (eg, zip line base, gondola, luge) and only a short drive to the spas, Eat street and the city. There are laundromats close by and lots of fast food outlets. One of the key assets is that it’s walkable to Countdown/Woolworths just across the road.
The Pullman is a new hotel in the CDB that has been fitted out very well. It is close to the events centre, Eat Street & the lake. The rooms were quiet, spacious & easy to relax in. Hotel staff were friendly. There is an in house bar as well as a large foyer to wait in. Would stay here again next time in Rotorua.
The location, the staff, the facilities, the service , the attitude of the staff, the room , the view from.the room, all were great! haven't found another place with such value for money! Recommend everybody passing through, including campervaners to stay a night here to get the best budget friendly hotel stay!
-Very family orientated
-staff always on hand and ready to be of service
-Had lots of useful information regarding nearby activities and things open on Christmas Day in the area
-Had all the necessary facilities that on a rainy day it was perfectly fine to stay at the hotel with children
It was very spacious, clean and had all that we required - a lot more freedom compared to a motel or hotel.
Check in and out were easy.
Located opposite a reserve and only 5-10 minutes drive from central Rotorua. Hoping to book there again.
Great location, very family friendly, staff were super helpful went out of their way to help, value for money. This is by far our fav for family budget accommodation in rotorua and we have tried a few. Those alpacas how can you go past them!
Beds and linens were very nice. Slept great. Control of room temp was terrific. Nice towels. Very helpful manager and staff. Decent gym for a hotel.
Love the location between the lake and the main strip of restaurants.
Everything. Perfect location. Amazing views. Everyone at the hotel made you feel special. Leanne was amazing and her daughter too. Helped us with a few things and went out of their way.
We really enjoyed the location of the hotel as it overlooked Lake Rotorua perfectly. We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was located near a lot of places we went to e.g eat street
Centrally located . Excellent breakfast. Pools for adults as well as a large family pool. Excellent staff in all areas of the hotel - pleasant and helpful. Fast wifi.
Location was excellent. Hotel has a lovely small pool and a wonderful hot tub for private use. The manager was very kind and gave excellent customer service.
The location was great, and we particularly enjoyed the outdoor heated pool. The hotel is very family friendly, and the staff were more than happy to help.
