Tartu is the second biggest city in Estonia, it has lots of places to visit, like museums, science centre, shopping centres, theatre, there are lots of walking to do, there are great local transport links in Tartu, there are plenty of hotels,B&Bs, plus apartments to stay in, most of the big shopping centres are in the city centre, there is also a free bus that takes you to one of the biggest shopping centres in Estonia, just on the outside of Tartu, that shopping centre is very big, and takes about two hours to walk round, it has a lot of different store, restaurants, etc there.
The local buses are also great to use,buy a tartu bus card, tap and go, or, buy tickets at Tartu bus Station, there are local buses, and city buses, there are lots of them, make sure to get a map, as it is a little difficult to know where to go/get off, if you do not know the area.
By the river, across the foot bridge from the city centre behind the market, you will find a nice beach area for summer, it is lovely there, and sandy, plus changing areas for everyone.

Fell in love with Tartu!
Fell in love with Tartu! An absolutely amazing city with a wide range of museums and activities, cosy and variable dining places, perfect for strolling and cycling around... So much to discover! I will surely return!
Try out the city museums, observation tower, printing history museums, science center, spa center, public transportation is easy to use and takes you all around town with an ease. Yet, one can also rent city bikes to move around 😀

Tartu is a beautiful student city to stay at.
Tartu is a beautiful student city to stay at. With the river running right through it it has everything you can wish for. It is busy enough to get whatever you want, but also to feel almost alone enjoying the lights around the river lights during the evening.
Also a lot of nature in a short drive away.
Spa was excellent. Something to cater for everyone. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious with beautiful bathrooms. Breakfast is delicious and a large variety of sweet and savoury food is available. The hotel is in a great spot in the centre with lots of things to see and do with just a short walk away. Reception is just a short elevator ride away from the car park. Every staff member was really friendly and always said hello (estonian and/or english).
It's a beautiful house and it gives you a great experience and insight into Estonian houses as opposed to a normal hotel. Molle, your host is a lovely lady that can speak English well to help you with your stay. Your room has a kitchenette with oven, microwave, hobs, washing machine and sink. Everything you need. It's about a 15 minute walk from the city center with a bus stop nearby. Really great all round, Molle really makes you feel like it's a home.
Great location with nice view out to the park, plenty of space, large disabled bathroom with heated floor(lovely), easy to control heating in the room, large TV with some Estonian channels. Beds very comfortable.
The 24 hour reception is very convenient with seamless check-in. There is also a lot of history in this building, which stimulates imagination during your stay!
Good value for money for a short-term stay, especially if you have a pet with you. Bed was very comfy, all necessary things were there plus some sweet touches, like the set table and complimentary tea for example. Towels were good! Also loved the big TV that had all Estonian channels and possible to watch Youtube etc. Easy contact-free check-in and very friendly staff!
Location was really great. Really close to the centre of Tartu. Apartment was really nice and we were pleasantly surprised how clean it was. It had everything you needed and even a dish washer. Tartu is our favorite city to have a staycation and before we always stayed at hotels but no more. Definitely staying here every time now.
It was a wonderful experience, a perfect price-performance match! Unlike the large hotels, this small wooden building is very cozy and with its character. The staff was very welcoming, and the breakfast was really nice. Since I was traveling by car, I appreciated the free car parking. Perfect location in the center of the city!
Nice location in a very unique, beautiful and calm district of Tartu, only 15 minutes on foot from the city center (where I studied for 2 weeks). The flat is pretty and comfortable, self check-in and check-out were efficient. Good Wi-Fi. The price is really fair (about 34 € per night), so I would definitely come again.
Very clean and comfortable studio with all the needed facilities. A very friendly owner living next door. The studio is in one of those typical Estonian wooden houses so it was a nice opportunity to be in. The location is near to the historical centre as well as a commercial centre with a big grocery shop.
Great service, staff members were really nice to us.
The location is a big plus, as you are surrounded by 3 shopping malls, bus stops, restaurants, and fun things to see in Tartu.
The design of the rooms is really pretty as well. We stayed in a deluxe double with a front facing view.
Excellent hotel in the heart of Tartu with perfect service. I was excited with a room, breakfast.
Very polite personnel and impeccable service, a cozy spacious room.
The hotel is located nearby in the center of the old town next to the Town Hall Square.
Strongly recommend.
One of the best Tartu hotels , opinion is based in comprision with my previous staying in different Tartu hotels.
In my opinion, breakfast in SOHO is the best in Tartu. Clean room ,polite staff. Well disained and spacy breakfast room.
Everything was perfect! Deserves the highest rating. Host was friendly and shared great recommendations for exploring the wonderful city of Tartu! The apartment has everything you would want for your vacation. Tastefully decorated.
The apartment had absolutely everything to offer. Never stayed at an apartment, was always hotels. Apartment is in a nice quite area of a big city. If I come back to Tartu I will definitely be looking this up again!
Great location, historic house! Walking distance form the city center. For me save parking in the yard was very important. Perfect place to stay when visiting Tartu! :) Thank you!
Its my favourite hotel in Tartu. I feet like a princesse every time I am there.
Rooms are cosy and sooooo special
Breakfast is good. Short walk from city Centre, free parking.
