Good- a bit too much bacon and bread was a bit doughy.
Serene as the Swan
Sun-drenched and laidback, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.
The city centre has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.
Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.
The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialities such as western rock lobster and chilli mussels. There is also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from the Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

We went over for a conference and stay an extra 10 days for a holiday.
Visited Rottnest Island, Swan Valley, Kings Park, Rockingham, & Fremantle.
Perth has a number of buses which make it easy to get around without a car.
We did hire a car as we wanted to travel up and down the coast. But while we stayed in the CBD we used the Red Cat, Blue Cat, Purple Cat buses. Very easy and reliable.
Did a tour through Kings Park and visited the Perth Mint.
Did the Matagarup Bridge Climb and Zip. Played mini golf after we came off the bridge. Lots of fun.

I have rated Perth to be the best state in Australia. It was easy to get around; the people were friendly and helpful; everything was clean and well presented.
The tours we attended were a very reasonable price and some were for free. It was a wonderful holiday!!
Well done to the State Government!!

A great easy city to get around in.
A great easy city to get around in.
Safe in most areas with a good police presence.
Relatively flat city so easy to walk around in.
Uber cheaper than a taxi, so avoid taxi's if you wish to save money.
Great selection of restaurants in and around Elizabeth Quay.
Great pubs with awesome pub grub.
Nice walking paths along the Swan River to either side of Elizabeth Quay.
Worthy to take a trip to the Margaret River!

Perth is a fantastic city, particularly for those with children. It’s family friendly with plenty to do and the weather is stunning. The beaches are sensational with many a walkway located alongside them. Cafes are abundant and cater for all, as are restaurants with prices to suit all budgets. People in Perth are also so friendly, great place to visit or stay on.

Perth is a souless boring backward red neck town.
Perth is a souless boring backward red neck town. Its dead as a door nail most nights. Just as expensive as Singapore but not even close to being as vibrant and interesting. Give it a miss at all costs if you can.

Visiting Rottnest Island & Swan river is a must for any visitor. The crown tower’s location is fantastic and very accessible to the trains, Optus stadium, casino and events, just an amazing place. The weather in Perth in May is perfect and not cold.
Great location, right on the sea front. Cottesloe is on the train line between Perth and Fremantle (just 9 minutes to Fremantle). It’s a pleasant 20 minute walk from the hotel to Cottesloe station.
Or catch bus 102 from Claremont station or Cottesloe station.
Also enjoyed the pub downstairs with some decent food choices and specials.
Pleasant and chatty manager/owner David gave us plenty of tips on Rottnest island etc.
Great breakfast at cafe nearby Il Lido, busy at weekends.
A very nice stay, staff at the front counter were welcoming, room was spotless. A very quiet room and housekeeping were the same going about their morning which is refreshing given some of our other hotel stays in Perth. Parking does fill up quickly inside the gates but there is plenty of off street spots. The buffet breakfast is a worthwhile addition though it would be good to see fried eggs available, minor detail. Will definitely be staying again.
The best thing about the Pagoda is the price; a spacious 2 bedroom apartment is much more affordable than a comparably sized hotel room in the city. We had a car so still easy to get to and explore Perth CBD/Northbridge which is relatively close.
The staff in the hotel restaurant at breakfast-time were gracious and patient.
The suburb where the hotel is located is pleasant for exploring (IMO).
The free street parking for your car is great.
The hosts were responsive and thoughtful. The apartment was well stocked with everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Bath towels provided were thick and fluffy (5 star hotel quality). A big plus that parking is provided.
Netflix was a hit with the kids. They loved the place so much they wished the stay didn’t need to end. Thanks to the hosts for the welcoming stay and we will definitely be back next time when we are back in Perth.
The hotel is located in the center of Perth with convenient transportation access. Perth Underground Station is a two-minute walk away. There are many buses and CAT Bus around, and it is just steps away from many restaurants and shopping centers. The room is spacious and bright, the bathroom is spacious too, and there are simple kitchen facilities. Very comfortable to live in
The room was renovated and they provided a little brekkie pack for everyone as they have no restaurant at the moment. It was comfortable and quiet at night. We chose this hotel because it wasn't too far from the airport and we had to pick up our hire car from there the next day and also because we needed somewhere that would fit 4 of us.
The room felt larger than your typical budget city hotel and was very well-equipped (kitchenette, microwave, laundry services, work desks) which made our stay in Perth easy and enjoyable. The staff are lovely and helpful and the hotel is conveniently located allowing us to walk to the quay and anywhere else in the city.
Tribe is well located in West Perth right outside Kings Park (perfect for walks).
The hotel has a modern appeal.
The room was the smallest I’ve ever stayed yet, but relatively well-designed.
Staff are friendly and polite, but some struggle with their comprehension of English, which can get a bit frustrating.
Michael the manager was wonderful, Flight was late, Called him from airport. He met us on arrival and showed us
to our apartment - upgraded due to a problem in basement due to bad weather in Perth. So kind, helpful and attentive even though he was not feeling well.
I booked the room because the hotel is close to the airport, I had to stay in Perth overnight and being close to the airport was important for me. The shuttle bus is a great service and made it so much easy for me to get to the hotel and back to the airport next day 👍
The room was well appointed, very clean and in excellent condition. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was a 2minute walk to the main CBD of Perth and 5 minutes to railway station. There were buses that pulled up outside the Hotel.
The room was clean and tidy and quite large and the bus stop was a few minutes walk from the hotel to get to Elizabeth Quay and the trains. There is a large parkd nearby called Kings park which has a raised walkway with lovely views over Perth.
The best views. Hotel looks old from outside. Very nice inside. Great service from front desk and restaurant. Definitely coming back a few times a year. I've been missing out on the best views in Perth by not staying here earlier!
The Adina Apartment Hotel is perfectly positioned in Perth CBD and just a small 1-minute walk from the convention center. Rooms were a great size comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here in Perth again.
Excellent location in the middle of Perth’s beautiful CBD. Location wise, it’s second to none. The hotel is very good, friendly staff and a short walk to public transportation, cafes, and the shopping district
